Polka Dots: all the rage?

Welcome and welcome back to this weeks blog where we dive right into new, past and maybe even upcoming fashion trends!

This week we are doing POLKA DOTS

I know you have probably seen EVERY CELEBIRTY it seems like wearing these but these dots were all the rage in the 50's. Yes your grandma probably wore them but we are not counting that as a flaw after all vintage is IN!

Polka dots are one-hundred percent styled completely different now but are still all the rage! Instead of full pattern polka dots they are used as accessory pieces tying together different colors throughout the dots. Polka dot shoes, ribbons, hand bags, skirts and even belts. 

All of the polka dot options above are JUST in black and white imagine the colored options to! 

Who wears Polka Dots?

From Marilyn Monroe to Olivia Rodrigo  every icon out there wears them. Here are some picture examples then we will get into how I would style them. 

 

STYLE ITTTTTTT!!!!!

First off we are starting with the polka dot heels! 

The heels are super elegant and have an amazing POP of color and design. So pairing them with a simple pair of blue jeans or slacks helps for the shoes to be the main aspect of your outfit! Especially paired with a simple top. Perfect for mix and match! if your feeling extra you could even add the BELT I think it would be perfect in this outfit 

       

The Polka Dot Bow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just like the Polka Dot heels the Bow should be the main aspect of this outfit! I think this bow with a beautiful red dress would style perfectly! Especially to tie into its roots of being popular in the 1950s 

The Skirt!

this skirt is a CLASSIC piece that is beautiful, Pair it with a simple top and vintage hand bag with a pony tail and you have A PERFECT outfit for any occasion!
